Start or continue a game
Use the opening menu to choose one player against the computer or two players sharing the same device. The computer has five difficulty levels. Use Continue when a saved game is available.
Chess gameplay works offline. Two-player mode is local play on one device, not online matchmaking.
Sound, effects & performance
Adjust music, effects and announcer volume in the game’s settings. If sound is missing, check both these controls and your iPhone’s volume and audio output. Music and the announcer pause when the app is in the background; tap the game after returning if audio needs to resume.
If 3D playback is slow or unstable, try the 2D display option and close other demanding apps. If the issue continues, send your device model and the steps that reproduce it.
Saved games & privacy
The app stores an in-progress game and preferences on your device. It has no account-based synchronization. Starting a new game replaces the current game; deleting the app removes its local data. Operating-system backup and restore behavior depends on your device settings.
Ads may be shown at an eligible return to the menu after completed games. They do not interrupt moves or captures. Use Ad privacy settings in the menu for the choices currently available, or contact support about an inappropriate ad.
