BodyMind Privacy Policy

Where information stays, how advertising works, and the choices you have.

Last updated: September 25, 2026 · App support

Scope & contact

This policy describes the BodyMind iOS app provided by Hwanish Games. It covers the app’s journal, Apple Health import, music suggestions and advertising. It does not replace the policies for a separate BodyMind website or Android version.

For privacy questions or requests, contact myowngroove@gmail.com.

Your journal stays on your device

BodyMind stores the entries you choose to create: mood, body condition, energy and stress scores, optional sleep duration, tags, notes and entry dates. It uses these entries to display trends and everyday wellbeing suggestions.

There is no app account or synchronization to a developer-operated server. Suggestions and music lists are selected using rules and a music catalog included in the app. Journal and health information are not sent to an external AI service.

Apple Health & file imports

Connecting Apple Health is optional. When you choose to import, BodyMind requests read access through HealthKit to steps, sleep, workouts and body weight. It reads available data for the most recent 30 calendar days and creates daily summaries using the device time zone at the start of the import. Existing journal dates and earlier health summaries are preserved. Import again to refresh health summaries for your current time zone. It does not write to Apple Health or automatically collect health data in the background.

Health and journal information are not sent to advertising services or used for advertising targeting, marketing, sale or external profiling.

Apple does not tell apps whether you denied individual read permissions. An empty result can mean no matching data is available or read access is limited. Manage access in Apple Health or iOS Settings. Revoking access prevents future reads; delete summaries already imported into BodyMind separately in the app.

Apple Health ZIP/XML files and BodyMind backup files that you select are read on your device. Their contents are not uploaded to a developer-operated server. Records from a separate BodyMind website are not linked automatically.

Storage, backup & deletion

Entries and imported health summaries stay in the app’s storage on your device until you remove them. The iOS app applies the operating system’s file protection and backup-exclusion settings to its local data. It does not provide its own cloud account or iCloud synchronization, an app passcode, or a separately encrypted journal database.

You can delete individual journal entries or use Delete all records on this device in Settings to remove journal entries and imported health summaries. Deleting BodyMind records does not delete originals in Apple Health or files you saved elsewhere. Deleting the app can remove its local records; offloading an app is different and may preserve data.

The first iOS version does not export a full journal/health JSON backup. Existing backup files can be imported, but do not rely on an app reinstall, device backup or device replacement to recover BodyMind records. Hwanish Games cannot restore the local records remotely.

Copying & external music services

If you choose to copy a journal summary, the selected scores and notes may be placed on the system clipboard. On iOS, the app marks copied content for local use and sets a ten-minute expiration. Content that you paste or save elsewhere remains under your control and the destination’s policies.

Music list copies and music CSV exports contain song titles, artists and search links, not your health measurements or journal notes. Apple Music searches and TuneMyMusic open external services. Song titles and artists may appear in a search URL; health values are not added. Those services handle their own accounts and information under their own policies.

Advertising & privacy choices

Ad-supported versions use Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform for privacy choices. Google may process IP addresses (which can indicate a general location), device or app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. The app does not request precise location permission.

The iOS app requests non-personalized ads, disables Google’s publisher first-party ID and publisher privacy personalization setting, and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission to access the advertising identifier (IDFA). These settings do not stop all advertising-related data processing. Available privacy choices depend on your region, consent choices and Google’s configuration.

Use Ad privacy choices in the app to review the choices Google makes available. If no choices are currently available, the app explains this. Google Privacy Policy · How Google uses information from apps · Google’s iOS ads data disclosure.

Ad frequency is controlled locally using completed-action counts, timestamps and hashes of random action identifiers. These controls do not contain mood scores, health values, journal notes or song selections. An eligible ad may appear after a completed journal entry or music-list copy; an ad is not required to save a record or import health data.

Support requests & your choices

If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include, and use them to understand and respond to your request. Include only what is needed; you do not need to send health files or private journal notes. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, subject to any applicable legal requirements.

You can contact us about access, correction or deletion of support correspondence. We cannot access or delete the app’s local journal for you; use the app’s controls. Google’s processing, retention and available privacy controls are described in its policies linked above.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s information handling changes, we will update this page and its date, update relevant store disclosures and request new permissions or choices when needed.
